The rusia 777 is an airliner that flies on long-haul routes to destinations around the world. This aircraft can seat up to 324 passengers in a two-class configuration (Business Class and Economy). Air India flight 872 was en route from New Delhi to San Francisco on Tuesday when it was diverted to Magadan, Russia, due to an engine issue. The airline said that it was arranging for accommodation for the 226 passengers and 16 crew members who were stuck in the Far East. Passenger Girvaan Kaahma told Reuters that he had been barred from leaving his hostel in https://143.198.211.51 Magadan and could not use his credit card to buy food because of US sanctions against Russia.

Kaahma, who was travelling with his uncle and brother, told Reuters that they were unable to contact their families back home. He said he did not know whether they would be allowed to fly to the US again. "It's a scary situation," he said. "It's like a nightmare."

A United Airlines flight destined for Denver last week suffered an in-flight engine fire and was forced to make an emergency landing as debris rained down on a residential neighborhood. The incident raised concerns about the safety of US airlines overflying Russian airspace with American citizens on board. But the chief of Air India defended the airline's decision to fly its Boeing 777 jets on flights to the United States from its hub in Mumbai.

On Friday, a Rossiya Airlines Boeing 777 cargo plane carrying goods from Hong Kong to Madrid was forced to land at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport due to a problem with one of the engine control sensors. No passenger injuries were reported and the airline was able to resume its flight after repairs.

Rossiya Airlines operates four Boeing 777-200ER airliners, which can carry between 236 and 436 passengers in business class or 314 to 470 passengers in economy. The planes are configured with 21 recliner-style seats in business class and 436 standard seats in economy.

Boeing 777s operated by Rossiya Airlines, the country's main airline, are powered by General Electric CFM56 engines. These are different from the Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines that were damaged on the United Airlines flight. GE has said it is examining the cause of the failure but has not commented on the status of the investigation. According to BIS' public listings, aircraft powered by General Electric CFM56 engines are subject to export controls under the EAR. Consequently, anyone who provides any form of service to these aircraft without authorization risks violating the EAR and may face significant jail time, fines or the loss of export privileges. In addition, the aircraft may be subject to additional restrictions if it is reexported to Belarus or Russia. BIS continues to work closely with the government of Belarus and Russia to notify them about the risks involved in reexporting such aircraft.
